Bathtime!

Charlie LOVES his baths! He just hangs out, sometimes we will get a little whimper from him, but he cries when it's done! What a funny little boy!
He starts out with crazy hair! (His expression says, "Who are you lookin at?")
Then we wash it....
He loves his hair washed!
Who doesn't love baby butts??
See! He's done so he gets upset about it!

Daddy makes his hair nice and neat.

Charlie's Baptism

On June 1, We had our little guy baptized at our church, Providence Christian Reformed Church. It was a great service and Charlie did so good, until I stopped singing and he realized he was in a strange guy's (Pastor Bob) arms. He screamed and screamed until Pastor Bob gave him back to us. Regardless of the crying incident, it was very special. I'm glad that we have that promise from our church family that they will help us raise him in the way of the Lord. If we need help, we know who we can go to. I can't wait to see this little man grow to know the Lord like his parents do.

This outfit was worn by Steve when he was baptized back in 1982. It was pretty tight on Charlie but we made it work! It was very special to be able to use that!

What I love about you

Being Charlie's mommy has brought a whole new perspective to my life. Sometimes I find myself staring at him and wondering why God gave him to me. I can't name all the things I love about him, but I can share a few......

How he smiles in his sleep and peeks just to see if I'm watching him

Yes, I even love his crying!
How he is just this cute little dude. Peace.
How he can sleep in ANY position and seem like he is comfortable!
How much he loves napping with his daddy
I love (but secretly hate) how he is growing so fast and acts like such a little man!
His big blue eyes that fixate on you
I love how he blows his nose. Who knew sneezing was so cute??

I thank the Lord that I can have this time with my sweet boy. I know that he is growing up and eventually he won't be so dependant on us, but I hope that he will always love us as much as he does now. I know I always will.
